Serving Traditional Maine Lobster Rolls

When salt-of-the-Earth Mainer’s Bill & Monica Irwin moved to Wilmington, North Carolina, they were constantly met with the same response when asked where they were from: “Ohhhh, Lobster Rolls!”

Eventually, this sparked an idea in the couple, who have always shared an entrepreneurial spirit. Together they opened the Maine Lobster Roll Company in the fall of 2019.

The Maine Lobster Roll Company serves our delicious lobster rolls on toasted New England style hot dog buns - the traditional Maine way. We aim for the “simple roadside lobster shack” style of roll. You can even enjoy an ice cold bottle of Moxie soda to wash it all down, just like a real Mainer would.

We invite you to come in for a visit. We will be serving up delicious Maine classics with a side of salty Maine humor, year round in Wilmington, North Carolina.

All rolls are available in three sizes, each served with a side of coleslaw and a lemon wedge is available on request. All our rolls are served on the same size bun. The amount of lobster meat determines the size. A half will fill out the top of the bun, a whole will generously mound over the top and with a hearty, all the lobster will not fit in the roll!!

MOM’S LOBSTER MAC AND CHEESE MENU

Starts with a very simple but elegant creamy combination of cavatappi pasta and whole milk with white cheddar and parmesan cheese. The top is encrusted with a light layer of baked panko and a little more parmesan. We then crown the dish with “Best In The World” Maine lobster. Cooked to order.
